Probate and Estate Administration

Estate Administration

When a family member or loved one passes away, there are many decisions to be made and actions to be taken. We represent heirs, executors, personal representatives, and trustees to ensure compliance with their fiduciary duties under the law and to ensure that all steps of Estate Administration are completed in order to carry out the decedent’s wishes.

Probate Administration

You can trust our firm to guide you through the probate process in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Our experienced team assists clients with every stage of the probate process: filling the appropriate documents to get a decedent’s Will allowed and an executor/personal representative appointed, advising on making timely distribution of the decedent’s assets to the heirs and beneficiaries, filing required estate inventories and accounts, advising on filing required tax returns, and closing the estate. Serving as Executor/Personal Representative of an estate is a big responsibility as that person is personally and financially responsible to the heirs of the estate. We understand the stress a personal representative can experience and we are committed to protecting our clients and ensuring that they carry out their legal responsibilities correctly and efficiently.

Trust Administration

Trust Administration is the management of trust assets by the trustee for the benefit of the beneficiaries in accordance with the instructions in the trust. This process includes the preparation of a trust inventory and accounting reflecting the receipts, disbursements and distributions made by the trustee. If you have been nominated to serve as a trustee, we can help you understand your legal obligations and assist you to manage the administration of the trust to make sure you are satisfying your legal responsibilities to the trust beneficiaries all while ensuring that you are legally protected.
